It's been several weeks since I went out to do street photography, you know, damn hot weather that ends up bothering me, luckily the rainy weather has arrived, that allows the weather to be cooler and the photographs have a charm that can only be achieved at this time, although to be honest, most of the pictures I took yesterday I didn't like them, when you stop doing a discipline for a while it is likely that when you do it again you will see your skills reduced.
Desde hace varias semanas que no salía a hacer fotografía callejera, ya saben, maldito clima caluroso que me termina haciendo daño, por suerte el tiempo de lluvias ha llegado, eso permite que el clima sea más fresco y que las fotografías tengan un encanto que solo se puede conseguir en ésta fecha, aunque para ser sincero, la mayoría de fotografías que hice ayer no me gustaron, cuando dejas de hacer una disciplina por un tiempo es probable que cuando la vuelvas a hacer veas reducidas tus habilidades.
Well I did like this picture, normally when I go out to do street photography I take certain defined parameters in my camera, sometimes I use the speed priority mode, sometimes the aperture priority, but there are occasions like yesterday when I decide to take the pictures at a fixed aperture, at a defined speed, and I only leave the ISO variable, yesterday I shot at F/1.8 and a speed of 1/160.
Bueno ésta fotografía sí me gusto, normalmente cuando salgo a hacer foto callejera llevo ciertos parámetros definidos en mi cámara, a veces uso el modo prioridad a la velocidad, otras el prioridad a la apertura, pero hay ocasiones como ayer en las que decido hacer las fotos en una apertura fija, a una velocidad definida, y solamente dejo al ISO variable, ayer disparé a F/1.8 y una velocidad de 1/160.
The streets, at least at the time I was taking pictures, were quite lonely, there are already more people in the streets compared to last year, but not the same as two years ago, even so the street vendors have to keep going out to give their best effort to bring food to their homes.
Las calles por lo menos a la hora en la que estuve haciendo las fotografías, se encontraban bastante solas, ya hay más gente en las calles a comparación del año pasado, pero no igual que hace dos años, aún así los vendedores callejeros tienen que seguir saliendo a dar su mejor esfuerzo para llevar alimento a sus hogares.
This picture was the one I started warming up with, you know, you have to take a few pictures to remember how to do it haha.
Ésta fotografía fue con la que comencé a calentar, ya sabes, hay que tomar unas cuantas fotografías para recordar como se hace jaja.
I almost always try to be pre-focused, that way I avoid bad results, I just need to put myself at the right distance and everything I want to be the point of interest comes out in focus, although yesterday it wasn't like that, they were a little out of focus, I guess I have to get used again to measure the distance before taking the picture.
Éstas dos fotografías me quedaron un poco mal, casi siempre trato de estar pre enfocado, de ese modo evito malos resultados, solo necesito ponerme a la distancia adecuada y todo lo que quiero que sea el punto de atención sale en foco, aunque ayer no fue así, quedaron un poco fuera de foto, supongo que debo acostumbrarme de nuevo a medir la distancia antes de hacer la fotografía.
I kept walking looking for something or someone to take pictures of, but the truth is that there were few people and not much of interest, I had to settle for what was there, and again in the photo of the people walking hugging I was at a bad distance and I have a little out of focus the protagonists.
Seguí caminando buscando algo o alguien a quién hacer fotografías, pero la verdad es que había pocas personas y no había mucho de interés, tenía que conformarme con lo que había, y de nuevo en la foto de las personas que caminan abrazadas estuve a una mala distancia y tengo un poco fuera de foco los protagonistas.
I think this final image would have looked much better if the street was with more people, or if the businesses were open and serving people, I don't know, I have to get used to the schedules and get back to know the city as I remember it.
Creo que ésta imagen final se hubiera visto mucho mejor si la calle estuviera con más personas, o si los negocios estuvieran abiertos y atendiendo personas, no sé, debo volver a acostumbrarme a los horarios y a volver a conocer la ciudad como la recuerdo.
