The old king
Making our way east on US 12, we paid a visit to the old man Rainier, king of Cascadia. Turns out, he's a big dude, over 14,000 feet tall. He's good, but he is not tame. Settings: ISO 200, f/11, 1/400

Across the sky
Made it up north of Grafton, IL to see the the Perseids. Since the sun was coming up, that made photographing them a bit difficult, but I managed to catch two here. :) Settings: ISO 1600, f/4, 25.0 s.

TO THE KINDNESS OF GOD: An Album Review (Track 9)
To the Kindness of God goes out with a paradox of a song. A light and cheerful melody carries these weighty words: “Why not change the world? Why not set it free? Why not let the change Begin with you

Down the street...
Made this photo a few houses down from ours. We were paying a visit to an elderly neighbor when I noticed the last bits of light hitting these trees. Settings: ISO 200, f/4, 1/250 s.

Stoneboat
From our visit to Arches. I suspect there was once an arch here, but he's gone now, and what we have left looks like a boat. Don't know his name, though. Settings: ISO 250, f/11, 1/200 s.

Along the Gitche Gumee
Made this photo while taking a stroll along the great Gitche Gumee. I understand these stones (or the rock they're made of) comes from Canada, so they're Canadian rocks. Settings: ISO 200, f/3.5, 1/500

Just over two weeks before we head west. We'll make it quick. Made this photo on the Deschutes river. They call this a waterfall, which I'm not too sure about. I guess there is an elevation drop of 10
