A big news is that ,Singapore already trialled a driverless taxi and also going to be start a bus for public roads by 2022.
The buses will be used to help residents travel their communities , and to nearby train and bus station. They will be some piloted in.
The government said driverless technology would be beneficial for country manage and manpower shortages.
The Transport Minister said " the autonomous buses are expected to complement existing manned bus services, and will initially operate during off peak hours.
Singapore has less traffic congestion compared for many other cities in Southeast Asia,due to road tolls and policies, but its promote public transport. The country also hopes to become a leader in driverless technologies.
" Our land transport constraints may help us become a global player in urban mobility solution " said Mr Khaw.
The new centre will permit driverless developers to test how their buses and cars would handle pedestrians.
