This spring, the deforestation of the Brazilian rainforest for soya cultivation was definitively restricted. Soy is only taken from plantations for which no rainforest has been cut after 2008. This agreement has been around for some time, but has now been extended for an indefinite period of time. He was made on a voluntary basis by large soy traders, the Brazilian minister of environment and organizations such as Greenpeace.
