Welcome to a new day filled with hope, light and life. It's a blessing to enjoy some peaceful night rest and to show up everyday.
When they said no food for a lazy man, of a truth that statement hits differently especially if you want to make some positive results with farming. You can't just plant anything and go to sleep hoping that it will do well on its own. You have to show up and be intentional about the care of whatever you plant. And for us that have planted varieties of crops, we have to show up everyday as there is always work to do from one farm to another and adequate care must be given to all the crops planted.

This is another set of potatoes that have been planted just towards the end of the year. These one will be harvested and eating right from the months of December through to the coming year. Just like your corn, potatoes can be planted twice within the year. The ones we have planted earlier in the months of June/July are ready for harvest and we have eaten some tubers out of it already. When the full harvest comes you will see how much potatoes we have grown.

Potatoes is definitely one of the easiest crops anyone can grow. If you are able to control the weeds in the farm before planting then all is set. You can plant potatoes from the month of June/July and still plant another sets in the month of August.

We love planting this late potatoes as it often stays and serve as some tuber foods we will be eating from now until December next year.

Potatoes are very useful for making different delicacies in local culture and by the time we have fully relaxed from the much work I would have as much time to share some of the recipes with us. For now we are busing with taking care of the crops we have planted with with occasional harvesting, sale and consumption of some.
