A #TwistedNurseryRhyme mimicking “Are You Sleeping”

This rhyme was further inspired by Gustav Mahler’s “Bruder Martin” disconsonant dirge in the “Third Movement, of Symphony #1 in D Major”.

Secrets keeping
Dread is creeping
Hope is gone
Death has come
Hear our dirges singing
Mourning bells are ringing
Ding dong dead, dread Death come

Darkness streaming,
No more dreaming
Hope is gone
Death has come
Death knell is a-ringing
Mourning bells are ringing
Ding dong dead, dread Death come
