As I was reading through I was thinking about Ireland and then blow me down you made the same comparison.
Ireland's gdp growth ballooned after Google dropped a gazillion dollars into it's Irish Bank account literally overnight.
Google had years of almost zero tax burden in Ireland same with Facebook etc.
But and it's a big but.
The EU has tightened up the laws on low corporation tax countries like Ireland only recently. Last year or so.
I think it's 17% minimum corporation tax across the EU now.
Ireland is suddenly getting so much tax revenue that they don't know what to do with it?
Watching Irish politics is fascinating these days.
There is a massive housing shortage so their all arguing about where to build and how fast.
I'm surprised that the Finns would put up with these shenanigans.
