I have heard that planning a holiday can just as relaxing as actually going on holiday,

I read somewhere that (pre-pandemic) going on holiday is in the top 5 of most stressful things to do?
Planning I don't know about but I've been looking at a kitchen upgrade too until I saw the prices?

Definitely on the back burner for now. It's gone crazy out there since the prices of lumber shot up last year.
