I think the only way to make money in the music biz these days are just like the old days...live paying gigs.
Pubs at first until you find an audience and scale it up.
People want to see live music. Personally I think the current streaming services are finished or will be pretty soon.
Many big acts have pulled their music off these platforms.
Why do you think the Stones still tour? Tickets pay wages plus they sell albums and other merchandise.
Live performance builds an audience of true fans in my experience which is quite extensive.
I was in the music industry for years and saw what worked and what didn't.
