What a fascinating place to visit and the Greek history is always great to see. They were way ahead of the rest of Europe re cleanliness in surgery.

It wasn't until Florence Nightingale turned up that hygienic wards were introduced in the UK which is kinda shocking when you think about it.

We recently visited the Louis Pasteur hospital in Colmar France so that Linda could have her feet looked at. She had huge blistering on both feet from a massage machine...can you believe it?

The doctors were very helpful and gave her some medication and special plasters to keep the wounds clean.

Just goes to show. Some things never change.

PS I think maybe the Louis Pasteur hospital may be like a chain of hospitals. I'm sure I've seen them before elsewhere in France.

I could be wrong but it was still interesting to see his name on the building. Very reassuring.
