Just thought I'd go and see what all the fuss was about regarding the empty shelves in supermarkets and this is what I found.
There are indeed huge parts of this Tesco megastore in East london with nothing on the shelves. Many people wandering around muttering things like.
"There is nothing here?"
Which is a little bit of an exageration. There are shortages but if you can survive on lentils, beans and rice it's not that bad...yet?
It's like we are all in some huge simulation of. "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" just in real life. I'm sure some people are having a lot of fun with this.
There are plenty of avocado's but virtually no milk unless you want skimmed milk?
To my subscribers. Normal service will be resumed as soon as I can unrubble my guitar and gear from the pile of boxes used to move house. Meanwhile life goes on and this is reality...for real!
It's all very well to watch news reports about how to tackle the corona virus but what plans are being made to keep stores supplied with food.
This seems to be more related to a failure of logistical planning and just bad management of the supply chain.
