It is rather sad that Africa tend to be behind in so many things, while a lot of other European countries are advanced in technology, Africa is still very behind in the area of technologies and other improvement that a nation can have, which makes it more difficult for entrepreneurs in these region to rise to the top. When a country is ahead in technology and the ability to handle resources properly, a lot of entrepreneurs seem to arise from there and eventually they are able to contribute greatly to the nation’s GDP.

Entrepreneurs in African nations usually have to put in more effort than those who live in advanced nations, the lack of governmental support from most African nations and a high rate of monopolization makes it difficult for new entrepreneurs to thrive.

This first key is applicable to every entrepreneur irrespective of the location the entrepreneur is found, every entrepreneur has to set out its visions and mission clearly. The vision and mission of a business is what drives the business and pushes the business forward towards the path of progress. African entrepreneurs needs to describe clearly the vision and mission for the intended business and how they plan to grow with the business. This vision and mission gets you to think of the next way to innovate, the next way to get better, the next way the business you are starting can become an addition to the economy of the nation.

Africa is also as a point of development which makes a lot of opportunities opened to us more than even advanced countries but the restriction is that a lot of upcoming African entrepreneurs are always lazy to think about starting something new, they only want to copy the idea of another entrepreneur who appears to be doing well in that field already and they choose to flood the market instead of thinking of a new method of their own to try out something different that will make their entrepreneurship journey unique.

Having a business in Africa is different from running a business in other parts of the world, in some European countries, investors are very patient and even if the business is not yielding much profit after two years the investors might still be patient enough to watch the business grow but in Africa, investors are usually not patient in this side of the world, the moment the business does not look produce profit within a very short time, they begin to get bothered and possibly look for someone else to support. So when you start a business in Africa, be concerned about profit and how to grow your business.
