Lo mas curioso es que sin temor a equivocarme, no va a pasar ni un mes completo cuando ya vuelven a fracturarse los delgados filamentos de esta "unidad" pasajera en nuestro país.

Culturalmente nuestra sociedad esta muy polarizada. Y asi pasen diez terremotos, una epidemia y un tsunami, todo junto, nada de eso hara cambiar el instinto separatista de nuestra pobre humanidad.

A veces me pregunto: ¿como es posible que tiene que pasar una desgracia para tratar de hacer lo correcto como personas?


The most curious thing is that, I’m quite sure, not even a full month will have passed before the fragile threads of this fleeting ‘unity’ in our country begin to fray once again.

Culturally, our society is deeply polarised. And even if ten earthquakes, an epidemic and a tsunami were to strike all at once, none of that would change the separatist instinct of our poor humanity.

Sometimes I wonder: how is it possible that a tragedy has to happen before we try to do the right thing as human beings?
