June 8th is the World´s Ocean Day, a day to remember how important ocean is for all of us who live in this little blue rock called earth, and, believe it or not, there are a few things that all of us can do to help the oceans, one of those things is to practice recycling, plastic is one of the top contaminants of oceans, eight million tons of plastic go straight to ocean every year; one little thing we can do is trying to take a bottle of water before going out, so we can avoid to buy water out and probably throw the plastic bottle in the garbage, bottle that is probably ending at the ocean, the same thing happens with coffee, also, if we know we are going shopping we could take a recycling bag from our home so we won´t use plastic bags. Oceans are the main lung of the planet (not tress), plus they are an important source of food and medicine (imagine a fish eating plastic and then you eating that fish), so you can tell how important they are; there are multiple problems happening right now with the oceans, and we can´t solve them all just practicing recycling; for example, there are studies that have found medicines in fishes and crustacean, the conclusion is that we are not completely eliminating external agents of the water we use in our cities, we can do something about this, for example donate. Try to be activist, be volunteer.
