Gradients are easy in watercolor. They blend well when paper is wet. But then we need to preserve white. Normally people use masking fluids and tapes and the other option is to use Chinese white pigments. I normally don't use any of these and try to keep the paper itself for white.. kind of purist .. it didn't work out here. Had to use white 😜
