So the rainy days are here, thought of creating the rain mood in today's landscape painting.
This is half of A3 academy Baohong cold press paper 300 gsm. I'm done with my quarter sheets of handmade paper.
Sketch is simple this time there are no complex shapes here. So it need not be too detailed. Just the horizon, light bountry of rhe hills and the lines for the paddy fields
Missed to take snapshot after sky was done. A mix of indigo, cobalt blue and Quinacridone Sienna to create the greyish rain sky.. little warm and a flat wash will make it look brilliant. Life's of a bit for some clouds and then painted hill wet in wet.
Waited for it to dry and then created flat washes for the far away fields. After painting the reflections in water, painted the people.
And finally the green freshly planted saplings with permanent green.
Took about 1 hr painting time for this 8x12in work
