After a week long break, it felt like painting skills will be lost forever. So I had to paint something.. something quick in an hour.. landscape 馃榿馃憤
The easiest of all.. can't go wrong anywhere..
Did a quick sketch.. reference was this pic my friend had sent me few weeks back after his walk.
Sketch has just horizon just few lines for the stream and the tree branches. I chose to make the road a stream instead.. so to add a tiny reflection element.
Missed to add the electric pole. 馃槚
Started with painting the sky.. little purple orange and blue.. wasn't sure to add sun.. I wasn't sure if the sun was orange or white so left it first.. went on to paint the far trees wet in wet. And finally the subject.
After everything dried painted water. The sky became too pale when it dried.. I was worried about overdoing it.. normally I mess up sky overdoing and I wanted to keep it simple this time. Nothing dramatic.. so it just went a tad blank.
Since it was a road in reference I wasn't sure about the reflection of the sky in water.. will it be blue or a darker purple? I went with the second option.

This is one of the painting which I have finished in single layer.. normally I try to paint in 3 layers.
