I hadn't painted anything in red recently.. Don't like to do the sunset silhouette thing either. But today when I I refilled my palette with some colours, the bright Hansa Yellow medium from Daniel Smith lured me.
Red and yellow so is the colour for the day and the Chinese temple was the first thing came into my mind.. finally photo hunting led me to this beautiful picture of Kyoto .. Japan it is.. doesn't matter.
It came out well .. better than expected and so can have a relaxing day

For a difference, today I didn't do the pencil sketch first. Instead went ahead and painted the bg and then did the rough sketch.
