Kindi is a traditional vessal from Kerala. It is made of bell metal and used as a pitcher to carry water.
In old days a kindi of water used to be kept in front of every homes so people coming from outside could wash their hands and legs before entering... Just like a bottle of sanitizer these days 😁
Kindi is still part of every house .. but taken a back seat. These days it's used only during some religious rituals.
This painting is a part of my art lesson to draw a metal vessel. Painted from real life reference.
