The photo in itself is such a lovely one but I wanted to paint a different light. The one I saw today during the sunset.
Started with the sketch .. horizon and the building.. a little bit of banks of the lake
Started painting the sky wet on wet.. Sennellier yellow gold and a bit of orange and ultramarine along with it the yellow reflection in water.
The far trees also has to blend with the sky so it softens out. So that goes with the first layer itself. Later added the shadows to those tree.
Next painting the dark tines of water. With violet and Payne's greytowards the near shore and ultramarine in the middle. Added the highlight colours of nearby tall grass after the water is dry
Finished the shadows of the near grass and added lots of dark strokes to show the leaves.
Finished the building next.
