Today I wasn't in mood to paint.. just cleaning up palette refilling colours and then thought of testing a new colour I bought last week. Magenta from Camelin stable.
It's a series 2, semi transparent and graded C. Meaning this belongs to a more expensive set series 2 and the light fastness is less, it may colour decay pretty faster compared to other ones. It's just INR 70 (about 1 USD) .. camelin are cheap but good colours. But this one doesn't come in regular packs .. have to get it from the loose colours.
(BTW, that one squeezed to a tiny button in the pic is my Daniel Smith Quinacridon Sienna which costs almost 20 times more.)
It looked like blueish tint of crimson to me.. collore tone to nice pink.. so just scrubbed in middle of paper and then added little Opera pink and Alizarin Crimson together and the look of flowers popped up.
Sprayed to soften the paint mix and then lifted off with some tissue paper..
Added the branches and leaves.. these leaves are single stroke leaves .. the most simple technique.
Finished the painting in 20 minutes
