My family went to see the Friday night hot air balloon launch in Sussex, NB. This is an international event with balloonist's from all over, getting together to fly.
These two photos are the balloons being inflated before they begin using the propane. This is the first year we arrived at the right time and favorable conditions for the balloons to fly in.
My wife and I took these shots as the balloons started to take off, one by one for safety reasons. The flights didn't last long so we couldn't get many group shots. Like I said earlier, we have been going for a couple years and this is the first year in three we got to actually see the balloons and take some photos! A very fun filled family outing.
The Sussex Annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta happens every year, the weekend after Labour Day, and there is lots to see and do in Sussex beside the balloons! The Fiesta includes amusement rides, laser tag, children's games, a talent show and talent contest, a craft show, vendors and concessions, and an antique car show and parade!
