This news and video is one month old, Julia Hawkins is old too, 103 years old, but her courage is younger than many of the youths, and this is the very reason that motivates me to share it.
I am impressed with all of the participants of National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico, races in the category of 100-104 age group, but Julia Hawkins has become an inspiration for many after winning two gold medals in 100 meter dash and 50 meter dash races in this competition.
Julia Hawkins is from Louisiana and started her running career at the age of 100. After setting the Senior Games record of finishing 100 meter dash race in 40.12 seconds in 2017, she is now known as Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins, She has set some other record in Senior Games category as well.
This time she has made the Senior Games record for women over 100 by completing 50 meter dash race in 21.06 seconds, and she is also the oldest woman to ever compete on an American track.
"Passions keep you going. They make you want to live and want to do. Get out there and make new friends and do something new every day.” ... Julia Hawkins
Have a nice & motivated day.
