It's also nanny-statism. Dunno how it is over there but the UK is certainly becoming a nanny state. Everybody believes the government should basically take care of everything despite simultaneously believing they are useless.

People expect them to take care of your children, your finances, your health, your social media feed, your travel plans, everything.

The more I ponder on this area the more I'm anti-welfare. Giving people homes and income discourages people getting up and working because it's difficult and time consuming and painful.

I wish we as a species valued negativity as much as positivity
