Oddly only 75% of crypto users had heard of Bitcoin, but much higher percentages for the other cryptos - I guess that's the crypto rabbit hole for you!
This makes me skeptical of the entire study... I find it practically impossible that you would get into crypto without knowing what bitcoin is.
That would be like knowing about wine, without ever hearing about wine bottles. It just doesn't make sense, bitcoin is the gateway in. Even if you somehow started on XRP or something, it would be mere seconds before you start hearing about BTC. Sounds to me like some people are just clueless and acting like they have a clue, and that gets taken into the survey. Or, they used BTC and maybe people didn't know that connection to BiTCoin. Either way, dodgy.
also 2,000 is an exceptionally small sample size - A 9% holdings compared to previous 4.4% could really just be the luck of the draw with those small numbers.
Either way, still a pretty cool indication of growing interest if nothing else!
