the general fragility of the life contained within our mortal husks.
This has been hitting hard for me in the last week a whole bunch. My cat thing, my own rusty teeth, but also my wife's parents both had or having surgery, dog has old dog lumps, my mum fainting from blood sugar issues, everything falling apart!
And she sent a photo of her colleague's dad (not to get too personal but it's not like you know them)
And like, how old is he, 95? 97?
Nope. 76! 2 years younger than Trump. Meanwhile 94 year old William Shatner looks 40.
So it's not just mortality that gets me thinking, it's the sheer range. If you don't after yourself early on, you end up like this guy later. I think I saw a study ages ago that said something like if you can't do this leg exercise when you're 30, we can guarantee with 95% accuracy that you're basically gonna be f*cked by the time you're in your 60's. Scary.
Don't google 'Lifetime calandar'. It's despair incarnate)
edit I saw the comments and the title so I don't need to be concerned about the fire XD
This post is 100% worthy of a dull club even though it has moments of excitement here and there.
