The problem I have with this is the last point. If Hive ever became mainstream, people doing hostile takeovers with millions would be fairly easy, that kinda money is just one less ivory backscratcher for a lot of people.

It's not much of a confidence boost knowing that, given enough money, the 'people' of the blockchain would be forced to either live under a new dictatorship, or sail off elsewhere every time somebody threw their money at the chain. Ergo, I'm happy with the smallness of the community, feels more stable longterm that way
