RE: Windswept
chatting with locals and listening to their stories I always fantasised about doing that but... at the same time I'd rather die than actually engage with a stranger hah. But it is the best way to know

RE: A log cabin church in the middle of nowhere
The trees - especially the one right out front (first pic) - are stunning! So well kept and ancient looking. I can practically smell the fresh air around them

RE: GETTING TO KNOW ME:NEWBIE NTRODUCTION
Best intro post I've read in a while! Sounds like you've had a tough start to life but as you equip yourself with more ways to deal with things getting in your way, the easier it's gonna get - especially

I've no idea, Maybe it's all lies. This is the first time I've even thought about it in a very long time. I don't think I've ever seen it truly pump above its current price, though.

RE: Tools of the trade
This mindset is really important in the age of the internet. People think because they read something, they therefore have learnt that thing - as if you can just google how to use a chainsaw then pick

If those colours aren't photoshopped (they do look legit) then I'm stunned. World class autumn right there!

P.s. STEEm and STEEMIT are two different things. True, but it's definitely not solely the steemit website and company making the place a shithole. It's endemic in the system... which is true for most places

Well. At least I am real. You can't prove that XD One thing I like about this place is the lack of algorithm. Much healthier in principle

I don't think we do. Look at other social media. Spam absolutely dominates. There's like one person making 100 youtube channels all generated AI scripts, footage, and voice, all precisely taking advantage

RE: The Beautiful Neigbour I Never Visited
Lucky them! Shockingly as an English person I never got to go up there more than a blink of an eye's worth of time in my life so... Step 1: learn to drive. Step 2: Drive to every inch of Scotland XD

RE: How Much to Retire?
Retirement is like a leading cause of death or something. It's actually quite scary how retirement seems to make people quickly degrade. I quite like being around people every day - students - even as

Depends on your mindset and physical wellbeing, eh? I'm around high school students every day and just turned 37 - Saying that out loud makes me feel depressingly old in context. The internet surrounds

We've been planning a trip to Italy - well, considering it. Visas are hard for some people! Anyway, I couldn't help but notice the wonderful architecture maintained for centuries is fairly consistent around

If I could live alone in the highlands til im old and grey I would. Problem is my wife has a client-based job so she needs a pool of city folk. Suburbs make sense from that then but... suburbs are hideous

Awesome complementary post to the termite edition. I wonder if they have particular tolerance to certain stings of ants in their various areas. I'm pretty sure that vague map includes bullet ant territory

Tbh, I'm 37 in a couple of days and my wife 30. I'm really into the idea of having kids, but we're still just not in a place in time where that's really a sensible thing to be doing. I remember 28 being
