Everyone, every group or organization has a unique ideology. And I don't thing there's anything wrong in that. Even if I was to say that there's something wrong with having your own unique ideology, which might possibly be different from mine, I wouldn't still be able to stop you from having one. We are shaped to see things differently.
Nevertheless we shouldn't in a bid to maintain an ideology we call ours, continue to wallow in ideals that isn't helping the common and known good of humanity, which would include health, longevity, prosperity, freedom, security, happiness and whatnot. We should at all point in time bow to that which we know to be better.
Let's consider this
We have a people, who are so loud on their ideology, and they waste no time in preaching their ways to people in a bid to make them see things the way they do. Take note that their primary method is word-of-the-mouth. They try to persuade and win over people with contrary views by presenting a superior argument. They've learned the art of persuasion. They are seductive by nature. They know how to string words together inorder to win people over to their corner. They have baits that can be used to entice people. They also have stake, they can use to to remain relevant.
Their land though not perfect has made many dreams come true. You can readily spot an African boy who managed to escape with his life, from a war torn country; sometimes just few years back, adorning a medal, in their prestigious football league or any sport of their sport team.
No they are not perfect.
But you can look into their parliament and see women, who are only fit for the kitchen in some countries, occupying some of the most honourable seat.
I am not still saying that they are perfect.
But you can also see people from different continents of the world becoming global figures in the world of entertainment, arts, literature, technology, politics, medicine, science etc by simply crossing over to their shores or by just leveraging their platforms.
Yes! They still have some traces of racism, tribalism etc. But they are by far the most accommodating people in the world. You can easily see people of different tribes, religions, and colours among them. Talk of providing platforms for sundry, I don't think that any nation or group comes close.
Let's call them group L.
We also have others with a strong ideology as well, but we have watched videos where they forcefully make people to accept their ways with the threat of death.
You can accuse Group L for doing similar thing, some centuries back, but they have well evolved. Use of force in presenting their ideology, hasn't been their ethos in recent times, and there is no denying that. When making comparison, can we please compare orange to orange?
The second sect even as we speak, will rather force and threaten people to accept their ideology instead of persuading.
Let's call the second sect group C.
Now; the Group C are are quick to blame Group L for trying to influence everyone with their culture. They blame the former for corrupting the society with their devilish orientation.
Why allow gay marriage? why not force the girls to dress with overflowing gowns? why promote nudity? Why give the women so much right? why not chop off the hand of those drinking alcohol? why should someone profane a holy name and not be killed? etc. They'll question, in a bid to demonize Group L's ideal.
Just so that you know; I'm not fully behind any of the two group. They both have their pros and cons in my opinion.
But every time we see the Group C's land being ravaged with war, we see Group L sending troops to help. Even for this action, Group A usually receive backlash for it. Some claim that they trying usurp authority over other nations, they do wish that they take their fake help away?
Howbeit when the war become unbearable, a lot of people from Group C shores will be seen into Group A's land to seek refuge.
Today, I learned that hundreds of thousand in a particular place are trying to get Visas to a land that fits into Group L's description.
If you accuse people for corrupting the world through their ideologies, why run to them when you have your problem, that is mostly caused by your own set of beliefs?
If your ideals can't bring freedom, and certain level of happiness, why hold on to them?
If war becomes the perpetual thing your ideology breeds, don't think it's high time you did a review?
Now you're free to find L and C, provided that you won't blame me for your insinuations. 馃槈
