For a long time now, my Sundays just like any of my typical day, has not been anything out of the norm. I mostly operate a fixed routine. The routine depends on what I want to achieve per time. After figuring out what I want, I structure my life in such a way that I keep waking up to the routines that will take me closer to the goals I set for myself.

Sundays are usually simple for me. I will wake up in the morning and do what most people do in the morning, of course with few exceptions here and there. Then go to church, only to comeback and teach in a discipleship class, which is part of my outreach initiative.

This particular Sunday was to be different for me. I didn't see it coming.

I had woken up and started off my usual preparation for church service, while momentarily checking on someone that has somehow become a vital part of my life. For some months now we've been steadily chatting with each through the
internet. Infact one night we broke record by chatting all through the night. I mean till the cock crowed more than thrice. we tarried in each other's company from bedtime till 6a.m in the morning. what on Earth were we even saying?

Despite all of this we've never made any attempt to see each other, physically.

That's a bit strange because we stay in the same city. And the city which we are staying is such a small one.

I literally tour around the whole city every week. My journeys do take me to this person's area. It's possible that I could be carrying out a function in a building next to this person's own.

Oh! It is not entirely true that no attempt was made towards seeing each other, this person has invited me to church meetings for two times, but circumstances beyond my control constrained me from attending. Even though I have been desiring to see this person physically, I have never outrightly said it out to the person.

On this particular Sunday, I received a message from this person.

It read;

"I don't know if it's possible for us to meet after service"

I didn't know what to make out of the message, considering the fact that I have folks I do discipled on Sunday evenings.

I didn't also want to turn it down, considering the fact that I have done that twice already. I have already created an image of being difficult, which is far from the truth. And hell yes! I also wanted to see this person.

So we agreed to meet immediately after service.

That's me in a Barbershop earlier in the morning before service. My Barber wasn't available but I don't think that his boy did a bad job.

We do have first and second service in our church on Sundays. I do attend both services. But on this service day, I decided not to stay till the end of the second service, because I wanted to see this person and still meet up with my other engagements. After the preaching, I dropped my offering in the offering in the offering basket and left.

I made my way towards the venue we earlier agreed on meeting.

While on my way, I put a call across to this person. The person gave me the shock of life. The person was already in my church. Oh! I didn't have to leave afterall. I had to return to the church.

On getting back to the church, that was where the problem started. I had a description of this person in my head. So I suspected everyone that fit into that description to be the person.

I was disappointed by how some of them looked. I prayed it shouldn't be this person (that's on a lighter note. lol).

When I eventually met the person,
I said this to the person afterwards;

I had an image of you in my thoughts.
So I suspected everyone one that fits my description of you in my head to be you.
I was disappointed by how some of them looked. lol.
So I hoped it shouldn't be you.
When I finally met you, you were exactly who and what I thought you to be.
You were just the person I knew in my thoughts.
You weren't above my expectations and certainly not beneath it.
It wasn't like I met a stranger, it was more like meeting someone I knew.

We smiled at each other. I can't remember if we did exchange sideward hugs. We weren't holding hands, but we walked side by side to our agreed location. Before getting to the location, there was no tension whatsoever, I spoke freely like I was with an old friend. But my friend was quiet. My friend only tipped in words. My friend wasn't much of the talker I knew online. Maybe I made my friend speechless. Did I take my friend's breath away?

I'll say that my friend is a tiger behind keypads but a lamb in real life.

My friend was much calmer than the person I do interact with online. Now if we quarrel, I'll request that we speak on voice, I think I'm stronger there. 馃槒

When we got to our meeting point, it was a little eatery, we sat down facing each other, and helped ourselves to some snacks and yogurt. We smiled at each other, almost uncontrollably. My friend smiled more though. My friend couldn't withstand my peerings. My friend threatened to throw up on me, out of laughter, if I continued staring.

I enjoyed my friend's company far more than I anticipated. Infact I had to put a call through to cancel the meeting I was to attend, just so that we could spend more time together.

My friend had other plans though. There was a meeting my friend was to attend, when the time beckoned, my friend had to leave. I walked my friend down to where my vehicle could be found to convey my friend to the meeting's location. That was some minutes after four. We did no selfie together. Too bad!

My friend did this, howbeit surreptitiously. I suspected my friend's antics though, that's why I looked at the camera.

Seeing that I had earlier cancelled the meeting I was to attend, I had a little time to catch more fun. So On getting close to my house, I hung out with another of my friend who just added photography to his set of skills. While we were chatting, I guess he loved what he saw, so he brought out his camera and took this shots.

I gave him (my photographer a friend) a free PR on my Facebook timeline.

I know of a young man. I love him with a bias.
Maybe it's because he crushes goals and hits targets like he got millions stacked up in his account.
But I Know him, he's my friend. His account balance is no different from that of an average Nigerian young adult.
He's just a man, but one who believes in possibilities.
He sees things done.
He did this.
It wasn't pre-planned. Just some casual stuffs, on a casual sunday evening.
Maybe he was celebrating a future father.
Recently he added photography to his skill-set.
It's emoz pictures. (His brand name)
It's a must that you get pictured by Amos

(Amos is his surname)

I went home afterwards to hug my lonely bed!

what a day!

Note:

I'm aware of the pronoun; his, him, he, and her. It was a challenge to me to write without giving out the gender of the person I first hung out with.

Happy finding out.
