隆Hola amigos! Mi entrada para el concurso de arte semanal de splinterlands en esta ocasi贸n est谩 inspirada en una carta llamada Serpent of the Flame.
Hello friends! My entry for the weekly splinterlands art contest this time is inspired by a card called Serpent of the Flame.
En lo m谩s profundo de un laberinto de calientes t煤neles de piedra, bajo la caldera hirviente de la Monta帽a Fundida, la Serpiente de la Llama espera c贸modamente. Rara vez sale a la superficie de las Tierras Ardientes, pero lo que m谩s le gusta es ser convocada a la batalla. Todos los que atacan a la Serpiente se queman.
Deep in a labyrinth of hot tunnels of stone, beneath the boiling caldera of Molten Mountain, the Serpent of the Flame waits comfortably. He seldom comes to the surface of the Burning Lands, but enjoys being summoned to battle more than anything. All who attack the Serpent get burned.

Para este caso no hice un pixel art como habitualmente suelo hacer, sino una ilustraci贸n digital bastante com煤n. Asi que para crear el boceto tom茅 de referencia la imagen de una serpiente generada por AI, a la cual adapt茅 un poco al personaje para darle similitud con este.
For this case I didn't make a pixel art as I usually do, but a quite common digital illustration. So to create the sketch I took as a reference the image of a snake generated by AI, which I adapted a little to the character to give it similarity with this one.
Para empezar hice un delineado sencillo, usando un pincel acr铆lico y a este delineado en algunos lugares le agregu茅 algo de sombras de color negro.
To start I did a simple eyeliner, using an acrylic brush and to this eyeliner in some places I added some black shadows.
A partir de aqu铆 comienzo con la aplicaci贸n del color, us茅 basicamente la paleta de colores del personajes original, con una que otra variaci贸n.
From here I start with the color application, I basically used the color palette of the original characters, with a few variations.
Asi que, empiezo a aplicar el color rojo base en la piel de la espalda de la serpiente, con un rojo un poco m谩s oscuro hago el sombreado y con un rojo m谩s claro hago las luces.
So, I start applying the base red color on the skin of the snake's back, with a slightly darker red I do the shading and with a lighter red I do the highlights.
Lo mismo hago con la parte de abajo del cuerpo de la serpiente, solo que en este caso us茅 tonos azules.
I do the same with the lower part of the snake's body, only in this case I used blue tones.
Termino con el coloreado de las partes restantes de la cabeza de la serpiente, tales como los ojos, boca y dientes, para los ojos us茅 tonos verdosos, para la boca morado y amarillo para los colmillos.
I finish with the coloring of the remaining parts of the snake's head, such as the eyes, mouth and teeth, for the eyes I used greenish tones, for the mouth purple and yellow for the fangs.
Ahora que tenia ya listo todo el cuerpo de la serpiente proced铆 a hacer las llamas, en el boceto no le hice delineado a las llamas, porque queria hacerlas pintando con manchas, asi que hice manchas de color anaranjado como base y le apliqu茅 tonos amarillos encima, dandole luz y forma a las llamas.
Now that I had the whole body of the snake ready, I proceeded to make the flames, in the sketch I didn't outline the flames, because I wanted to paint them with spots, so I made orange spots as a base and applied yellow tones on top, giving light and shape to the flames.
Por 煤ltimo pint茅 todo el fondo con tonos verde e hice un resplandor amarillo en el centro, adem谩s de hacerle algo de hierba verde en el suelo donde estaba posada la serpiente.
Finally I painted the whole background with green tones and made a yellow glow in the center, plus I did some green grass on the ground where the snake was perched.
