Grasshoppers can be real tricky to keep track of. Much of the time I might spot one out of the corner of my eye, and by the time I can get my camera ready, it has hopped away. They can move so quickly that it's hard to track where they end up, and even then they will likely hop away again. So if I'm in a spot where I am seeing them, I just find it just watching the ground in front of me and having my camera close at hand can help. If they can come across my field of view while I'm ready and expecting them, it tends to lead to getting a few opportunities at least.
