In the video, which I just recorded, I will show you trees being shredded near my home in Leiden. In Europe, tree-shredding, also called tree-snagging or tree-pruning is a traditional method of cropping the side branches of the trees. The main trunk is preserved for later harvest while the shredded branches are used for animal fodder or as firewood.
