My First Hive Anniversary

My experience in the Maternity came from the hand of my retirement, before that I would not have considered quitting work.

Everything coincided, the economy in Venezuela brought down our purchasing power, when my prince was born and what I earned was almost negligible, my salary that at one time was more than enough suddenly became "salt and water".

That is why when the date of my reinstatement approached, my husband and I decided that the best thing was for me to stay at home taking care of my little son. Making that decision gave me incredible peace, so I realized that it was the right decision.

However, during all this time the financial responsibility has fallen on my husband, which is not easy either. In addition, after so many years of working, of being an independent person, it is not easy to depend on someone else.

That is why I started researching on the Internet, what activities I could do that would generate some income for me, and after trying a few things without much success, I discovered this beautiful platform: Hive.

Early last year I was poking around, so to speak, with the hive.blog page. I was reading some posts that seemed interesting to me, trying to understand how the rewards thing worked, and I was like that for a while.

Later I got a video, of the step-by-step type, that was just what I needed to finish deciding, and on July 15, 2021, I finally created my account.

Then I needed to write an introduction of myself, that took me a week, I didn't really know where to start, I was as explicit as I could considering that I had no experience in this regard, I didn't focus on any particular niche either because all this world was new to me.

I finally made the publication on July 22, 2021: I’m Marlyn. That is the date that really counts for me.

However, I was still thrilled when @hivebuzz sent me my 1st Hive anniversary badge on July 15th. I think I dreamed of this moment since I started.

I have to say, @hivebuzz is a great motivator, particularly when you're new, and it doesn't seem like you've made much progress, there's hivebuzz to tell you that little by little you're reaching small achievements and setting yourself small goals that you reach again.

Another important date for me is August 03, 2021, that day I made my first publication in this wonderful community, in which I felt part from the beginning, they gave me a warm welcome, they made me feel that I belonged here and here I am, and I thank God for that.

This year in Hive has been full of self-discovery, I used to write for myself before, to vent, to organize my ideas, among other things, and here I have been able to find a place where I feel that my thoughts are appreciated, and in the that I have met people who live in similar situations on the other side of the world.

Thanks to my Silver friends for their support during this great year, I share with you this celebration that fills me with enthusiasm to continue forward, and I dream of being able to share it with you for many more years.
