I like Japanese pop and rock music (it's one of the reasons that brought me here anyway!), and today I would like to introduce a group which I really enjoy listening to!
Moumoon is a group which consists of 2 musicians - Masaki's the guitarist, while Yuka's the vocalist.
I first saw them back in 2009 when I attended a summer musical festival at Zushi beach.
Before that, I had no idea who they were, but as I listened to their performances at the festival, Yuka's voice had captivated me - it was powerful yet had a gentle touch to it, resonating with the guitar accompaniment.
I got their CD afterwards, and after listening to a few more of their tracks I began to like them even more!
Most of their performances are played by just the 2 of them, although there are instances where they had gotten some of their acquaintances to help out in a band-style performance for larger events.
Here's one song which I really like - "Hello, Shooting Star"
It's used in the ending credits of the animation "Assassination Classroom".
