Pizza brings smiles everywhere 😊🍕🇲🇽🍕🇲🇽
Today was a long day. It was the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, which was fun, but at the same time the adults were exhausted from all the preparations. So, we all had no energy left to cook dinner today and decided to order a pizza.
The pizza we ordered was Chicago-style, thick and filling. My friend ordered the pepperoni pizza, and I thought it was amazing that he could order in Spanish without any problem. Everyone who is studying a second language experiences the problem of listening on the phone. I thought it was amazing that he was able to communicate in a second language using the phone, which is very difficult. I thought he could do anything to make his daughters smile.
Some people say that Americans can only speak English, but I have many American friends who speak a second language. I seriously think my friends are all amazing and breaking American stereotypes 😊👏😊👏
今日は長い日だった。メキシコでは死者の日の休日で、楽しかったけどそれと同時に準備などで大人はへとへとだった。だから、今日は夕食を作る元気も残っておらず、ピザを注文することにした。
注文したピザはなんと、シカゴスタイルで生地が厚くて食べごたえがあった。ペペロニピザを友人が注文してくれたんだけど、スペイン語で問題なく注文もできるようで、すごいなと思った。第二言語を勉強してる人だったら誰もが経験する、電話での聞き取り問題。とても難しい電話を使っての第二言語でのコミュニケーションも出来ていて、すごいと思った。娘の笑顔のためにはなんでもできるんだなぁと思った。
アメリカ人は英語しか話せないといい人もいるが、わたしにはアメリカ人で第二言語を話せる友人がたくさんいる。みんな、すごいなぁーってマジで思う。
