Rainy day in Osaka

It started raining around mid-afternoon today. I came to my Okan's garden this afternoon. The hydrangea had begun to bloom beautifully, and the flowers glistened in the raindrops. Usually, small birds gather in the garden, but today, perhaps because of the rain, no birds were present, and the sound of the drizzling rain spread quietly across the garden.

今日は昼過ぎごろから雨がしとしとと降りだしました。今日は昼過ぎにオカンの庭に来ました。アジサイがきれいに咲き始め、雨の雫に花がキラキラと光っていました。いつもは小鳥たちが集まっているのですが、今日は雨のせいか小鳥たちはおらず、しとしとと降る雨の音が静かに庭に拡がっていました。

Okura 🤩🙌

I love okra so much that I had it planted in my Okan's garden. Now, in my mother's garden, there are bitter gourd, potato, grape, eggplant, and newly planted okra. She also has planted shiso leaves, sprouting big leaves one after another. The okra also had sprouted small shoots. It gets boiling during the day, but it rained today, so I don't have to water the plants. I hope the okra will bear fruits soon. I want to make gumbo and eat it 🎵.

わたしはオクラが大好きで、オカンの庭にオクラを植えてもらいまあいた。今、オカンの庭には、ゴーヤ、ジャガイモ、ブドウ、ナスビ、そして新たにオクラが植えてあります。大葉も植えていて、大きな葉っぱの新芽を次々に出しています。オクラも小さな芽が発芽していました。日中はこの頃すごく暑くなるのですが、今日は雨が降って水やりもしなくて良さそうです。早くオクラの実がなるといいなぁ。ガンボを作って食べたいなぁ🎵

The wild grape's ivy is also getting more significant. I don't think it will produce any fruit this year, as expected, but when it makes lots of fruit, we plan to dip it in sake and drink it 🎵 The houseplants that Sambo is growing are also getting more significant. It got a little smaller since I shared it with my uncle, but I am sure it will grow again soon.

キブドウの蔦も大きくなってきました。今年はさすがに実はつかないと思うけど、実がたくさんなったらお酒につけて飲む予定です🎵 サンボが育てている観葉植物も大きくなってきました。おじさんに分けてあげたので少し小さくなりましたが、きっとまたすぐに大きくなると思います。

The loquat seeds I planted the other day have not germinated yet. I hope they will grow. When I traveled to Paris, I saw a loquat tree planted in the garden of an Airbnb apartment where I stopped. For some reason, the loquat tree in Paris stuck in my mind's eye, and I remember it vividly. For some reason, I was happy to see the East Asian loquat growing and putting down roots in Paris. （I was so excited to see the East Asian loquat growing and taking root in Paris, even though it might be exterminated as an alien plant. 😅)

先日植えたビワの種はまだ発芽していません。大きくなったらいいなぁ。パリに旅行に行った際、停まったAirBnBのアパートの庭にビワを植えていました。なぜかそのパリのビワの木が目に焼き付きすごく鮮明に覚えています。東アジアのビワが逞しくパリで育って根を下ろしている姿になぜか嬉しく思いました。（外来植物で駆除されるかもしれませんが。😅）

The water quality of the rivers in my neighborhood, which used to be smelly and dirty as a child, has improved to the point where I can see the bottom of the river. Osaka Prefecture is also taking measures to enhance water quality and the environment. Looking closely, you can see carp swimming in the river and other small river fish. I am thrilled to see that the climate in Osaka is improving little by little 🎵.

子供の頃は臭くて汚かった近所の川も水質が改善し川底が見えるまでになりました。大阪府も水質改善や環境に対して対策を講じているようです。よく見ると鯉も川で泳いでいて他にも小さな川魚もいました。少しずつではありますが、大阪府内の環境が改善しているようでとても嬉しいです🎵
