In July 2021, I had the opportunity to visit Birka, a Viking village that has long been on my travel wishlist. This remarkable site, which thrived during the Viking era and continues to be excavated, has been recognized as a World Heritage site. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Sweden during the summer months. The town is often populated with individuals dressed in Viking-era attire, creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of that historical period. As someone with a deep appreciation for Viking history, my visit left a lasting impression on me. I certainly hope to return to this enchanting place in the future.
昔撮影した写真を見て、昔の思い出に浸ると、その時の情景がありありと浮かんでくる。2021年7月にかつてから行きたかったヴァイキングの村、Birka（ビルカ）へ行ってきた。ここはヴァイキング時代に栄えた町で、いまでも発掘が続いている歴史的にも大切な場所です。世界遺産にも登録されていて、スウェーデンに夏に訪問したらこの歴史的な場所に行くことをおすすめします。町の中ではヴァイキング時代の服装をした人がいっぱいいて、その当時の雰囲気を出してくれています。ヴァイキング時代の歴史が大好きな私はいつか行きたいとずっと思っていて、この場所に行けたときは本当に感動しました。またいつか、絶対に訪れたい場所です。
