Hello everyone, trust you are having a day filled with fun, joy, happiness, and engagement as well as having a thrill midweek.
This week has been so awesome for me here on hive especially the aspect of returning to my daily hive engagement and learning from other people's content enriching my knowledge, understanding, and experience which I must say that I can apply here and even outside the four walls of hive platform including my daily schedule and engagement.

This morning having visited my grandma, I decided to take a work and inspect what plants, crops, and vegetables were available on her farm and luckily I found this rear yam called coco yam, a staple rooted crop, mostly planted here in Nigeria.

My old granny disagreed with me on the cultivation situation of the coco yam, she said to me that the coco yam may not grow due to soil nutrients and weather conditions in some places, especially some crude oil ground in Nigeria, she told me that this specie of yam grows better on a site close to cold environment and wet soil.

After a careful explanation from her, I wish I could improvise by creating a place like a nursery yard suitable for its growth. I looked few close pictures of it since I was with my smart tap for memory purposes.

HOW TO CULTIVATE COCOA YAM ON NIGERIA SOIL(AVOID CRUDE OIL ENVIRONMENT).

The process is simple as no stems nor seed is required in planting it, after harvesting the mother plant, take out some part or quality for consumption and the other for planting when the season or time comes to plant it you have to divide the yam into smaller pieces and then dig the farm and place it that's bury the yam in the soil. You can choose to add local manure, the manure will ferment alongside the yam tube in the soil and afterward will sprout up.
