I’m sorry I wasn’t there to wipe those tears away
If I could rewind time, would you let me fix it?

I hate to know that I didn’t love you with everything
Yes I know you think I gave you everything
But no I didn’t For I know what I was capable of delivering
I chose to tread on those paths with you

I made up my mind to stick till the end
Did fate happen? Simple is the answer but difficult it is to answer
I try not to brood on the mistakes I made
Or pain which caused you to push those that you loved dearly faraway

Now you make me feel like I was no good for you
If tears could speak for me
Then I guess I will be sending this from six feet
Coz this pain would have taking a life by now

Guilt always has a way of getting a hold of me
It’s worse now because you’re involved
How do I find you? Where do I search through?
To get that beautiful soul of yours which I can’t remember when or who I sold it out to

Crying profusely wouldn’t resolve this
Yet I can’t help but think and pray for you everyday
I may not call today Yet know I miss your smile
Though I’m faraway I still feel your presence everyday

I want to hold those hands again
Not just by the roadside
I want to watch you win the world
And walk with you down the aisle if you’ll allow me put that ring there

Yes this is how much I need you back
I promise to fix this mess I made
I promise to give my best this time
I promise to bring those dreams back to life

I promise to give you my shoulders to lean on
when you need one
Making too many promise already?
Then just say it already, Can I come back in?

Afterwords
This poem narrates the story of a love that was not cherished and nurtured during its existence, though it looked like things were going well yet someone wasn't doing something right. The one who could see the wrong and feel the pain the most had to leave broken, devastated and mourned alone. Also neglected the care and love from others. However, love doesn't give up so easily, love always forgives at the end, love pushes to win your heart back. The fear of rejection might arise but never allow it get the best of you. If you find that very person that makes your world complete, gives you that happiness and Joy you seek for , do not let go easily, no matter the mistakes you've made, genuinely make efforts to fix up things if you wish to spend your grey days in their arms.
