Knocking on that door
Hoping someone would come to my rescue
I had searched and cried for days and nights
All to no avail

I was isolated from the people of the world
Even the so called Christians
I had been down for too long
I grieved in so much pain

I had emaciated
The body frame I was made up of longed for new flesh
I couldn't feed it no more
For I had strayed far away

I wanted to put on a smile once again
I longed to have just a sign or just a touch
I searched for that light that would lead me there

To dwell peacefully
With those who lived an unending life
For there, I had no worries anymore
I wasn't certain though if I would end up there

There was only one way in
The road through a heartfelt confession
Salvation! Yes! I'd found the solution and answers I scoured for
The confession marked the end to all my tribulations.
