Crypto Slang Glossary
“Stop talking like a nocoiner, DYOR and HODL”
Wait… What…?? Crypto slang could be indecipherable sometimes.. Are you caught in a bind not understanding what others are talking about in the middle of a crypto discussion?
Here are some slang you have to know if you want to sound like an expert:
DYOR — Do Your Own Research
Are you annoyed by the people that just won’t stop asking questions when all the answers are clearly easy to find?
When this happens.. Say “DYOR” !
HODL — Crypto slang for hold your coins.
“HODL HODL HODL and wait for the moon! “ Yup, that’s right. Probably the most frequently used word in the crypto world when it’s at the wake of a price fall.
Nocoiner — A person has no Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies)
Symptom 1: A person who likes to talk proudly about how he/she will neeeeever buy and own any coins
Symptom 2: A person just simply doesn’t own any coins
If a person meets any of the symptoms above, then it’s known as a nocoiner, as he/she does not own any coins.
See you next week!
