Looking at the history of the U.S. playbook and the success it has had in destabilizing Central America for the last 60+ years of course they would not change it. The U.S. has been installing pupppet governments all around the world to get what they want from certain regions for over 80 years and there has been no repercussions to date.
Venezuela is only the latest in America trying to acquire a Country. This is primarily due to the "Crude Oil" that Venezuela has. Koch Industries has a Texas Refinery that can only process the kind of oil that comes from 3 places. (1) is Saudi Arabia (2) is Canadian Tar Sands and (3) is Venezuela. Is it any wonder that the U.S. is going after these places since it is being directed by the "Kocks"?
