The way I handle YouTube is I have a main gmail account that is completely fresh and untouched. I then created a "brand account" under it to actually use the YouTube platform. I have one brand account for watching political channels, one for watching non-political content, and one for commenting and voting only. This compartmentalization not only allows me to organize my content for viewing, but also keeps my commenting and interactions on the platform seperate from my primary gmail account. My hope is if my comment account were to get banned, I would keep my subscription lists on the other accounts and my parent gmail account would be protected from YouTube's ToS (since it as a channel wasn't used) and should only be affected by Google's Gmail ToS. This is how I hope it works anyways, I may be wrong I've never tried to get banned.
