I took a trip to Gettysburg recently. It's hard to conceive of the carnage that took place there.
As horrible as the battles were, I took comfort in its appearance today. Mankind is capable of such destruction, yet nature eventually heals the wounds.
So here's a salute to brave men sacrificing for their beliefs and to Mother Nature's healing touch.
