A mysterious Babylon in SouthWest Atlanta. When you think of the SWATS unsavory characters, poverty and historical black colleges come to mind. On the contrary there are four vegan restaurants in a five mile radius and the community is lovely. On Sunday nights there is an event called Bonfire 🔥. This is where anyone who generally doesn't "fit in" immediately becomes normal. The most eclectic souls join to skateboard, drink, dance, paint and let loose. There are black punk bands playing while I watch a few white hipster chicks eat Jamaican food and drink beer. Tonight I ran into a magical dreadlocked unicorn 🦄 . We went to cosmetology school together and now we share more than a state certification. We decided to bee free. There are trans women and ciss women dancing to EDM near an open flame. A darker woman with a shaved head just sold homemade edible marijuana snacks to the hipsters. I'm enjoying the show. The moon is half full. It's 1:55 AM and all is right in the world. We came here to forget about the horrors in Charlottesville and wear outfits that otherwise would be frowned upon. Long live America. ✨
