Alternative POV - One different New Year

Hello there and welcome to the new week, Steemans!
Today I have decided to share one photo and the story behind it, because I believe that one person CAN make a difference!
I am going to talk about the holidays that passed and quality spent time! Me and @rorxco had no plans for New Years Eve and all we knew was the way we DON’T want to spend it! Like most of the milenians we as well were excited about the holiday, but our reasons were totally out of the ordinary. None of us was excited about food, drinks, party outfits and location, but about that moment in 00:00 o’clock when you invite an entire new year filled with countless opportunities and possibilities for you and your loved one! I really wanted to spend that holiday somewhere special because I really do believe that the best is yet to come to our life.
So there we are, sitting on the couch in the living room at 4 o’clock and we are still talking where should we go and what should we do. And suddenly @rorxco suggested to visit the mountain and more specifically a resort called “Borovets” - nice place full of tourists and around 70 km away from our city, aka one of the trendiest winter destinations in the country.
We took some winter proof clothes and some spare shoes and we hopped in the car on our way to the mountain. After an hour or two we arrived at our destination and walk around for a while.
The truth is that it wasn’t as full as we were expecting, most of the people were actually celebrating inside - eating and drinking(the usual stuff). We managed to find place in a restaurant that has one of the best kitchens in the resort and we had one amazing barbecue dinner.

After we finished our dinner we went outside to prepare for the New Year. We went to the sky slopes and found one wooden alcove where we installed two flashlights and the ones from our phone and we had our magical place ready to welcome the new upcoming year!

It was totally empty when we went over there but with time passing more and more people were arriving. We waited while smoking a cigarette and while holding hands we said Hello to 2018 in that beautiful moment that the Universe gave us full of lights and fireworks. It was absolutely mesmerizing and I felt like the happiest girl ever!

After a joint and few more cigarettes we went for a walk on a mission for street food. We were looking for some pancakes and a coffee. While being on the mission we met crazy AF people and some really cool ones and we managed to buy and eat those pancakes.
After that we bought two coffees and went to the parking lot to drink them on a bench.

And this is how my first photo was born. We were just chilling there and drinking our hot coffees and observing the frost on the wooden table being happy and careless while everyone else was either drunk or drugged or even worse...

So, yes! I have to say that this was the best New Year in my entire life and I have the feeling that it’s only the beginning! I love you, Rorka, and I am grateful for having the chance to spend my eternal eternity with you! 💜🚀👑
