Well it started out with the usual, fixing a few things, the petrol strimmer first, then painting the screen for the now sold mito spp 525 on the right in the picture above. The layer on top of the screen had bubbled up, and the adhesive failed, so I removed it and painted it as below.
Then refitted it to the bike that departs me on Wednesday to be united with a new owner.
So you may be able to see in the last picture, my good lady is off with the fixed grass strimmer and given me the day off gardening to enjoy riding bikes with my youngest daughter, so off I went on the beast KTM gs 300, and nearly fell off it 3 times, but hey, I did not. (she was not onboard at that time)
Before that while fitting the screen back on to the Cagiva, I had one of them moments where just that slight slip leads to a 3 minute job turning into half an hour as I dropped one of the special rubber screen holders inside the front fairing, so that 3 minutes turned into 30 trying to strip the bike and find it, it was the last one I had.
So then I went out on the Montesa trial bike and thought I would use it as it was meant to be used, so I went in search of parts of my land I do not normally ride on, bad move. I was only going slow as the grass is long, and not let the cows out to get it down as yet, and then it happened, dead stop front first, I was standing up at the time, and the seat unit came up and hit me smack between the legs.
Luckily that was all the damage that was done, it was a tree stump that did it. (I will sit down again next week)
I took an hour out to view the beauty of summer and 35 degrees of them c and nature at it's finest.
