Hello dear community,
Here I am again! I want to share with you our activity we make every summer, no exception.
This includes painting and sea shells!💗 An explosion of colors! 🐚🐚
Every time we go to the sea (and thats every summer), we collect lots of sea shells. The whiter, the better. 😁
We both enjoy to paint these cute white little shells and then use them to create paintings and crafts.
Just Having Fun. Play time
After getting home, we took out our green maze pool toy, put water in it, added the sea shells, some blue bath color, a few toys and water boats and let's roll on!
We splash, we play, we enjoy summer! 💙💦
Sea shells painting
There's nothing out of the extraordinary to mention here.
We had a relaxing time outside, painting our white shells, in rainbow colors.
Caleb even had pleasure to use more colors on his shells, have multicolored ones too.
You surely know how many benefits painting has for little children's development. So I'm confident painting is never time wasting.
Books
In between I took some books from our library.
I wanted for him to see again underwater world pictures, shells, corals and undersea natural environment.
He started to count shells and arrange them as he considered.
DIY Photo Frame
I bought a white photo frame a long time ago. And today was the day to decorate it.
Actually, its been since last year I bought it, with the same intentions.
To decorate it and put a photo of Caleb in it, from the sea. It just took us another year to make it. 😅
Caleb picked the sea shells and I did the glue part. I used our hot glue pistol.
Colored Sea Shells Fish
Eventually, we reproduced the undersea world by creating these colored fish.
You only need two sea shells, different in size.
For painting, we used water colored. Only the eyes were made by using acrylic paint.
Then we glued them on the paper.
The colored dark blue paper is a bit thicker than normal.
Corals
In one of the books, we've seen the many types of corals and Caleb came with the idea of painting them on our blue paper.
We talked about corals and what they are. It was really a relaxing time.
At this point when Caleb is still little, I consider our habit to collect sea shells and painting them, to be so much worthed!
In the end, we're creating memories
together, we have fun and spend quality time as family.
I hope you like our learning through play activities ideas and get yourself some ideas to work at home with kids!
Summer is still here!!(for some of us) 😁
Stay healthy,
Missdeli
