Big Hello everyone!
My vacation is over and I'm already dreaming to the next one! Does anybody have same thoughts? ππ What did you do lately, homeedders? How do you keep the little ones busy and happy?
In my opinion, PLAY is the answer!
Here are some ideas on how FUN PLAY & LEARNING looks for us!
All these activities you can do at home so easily! Basically, you need some plasticine/playdough and after that let your imagination fly away!
In the first place, I thought of this idea of making a road out of playdough and use one of our toy car to carry the hearts on their place. β€οΈππ
You need playdough, one peace of paper, markers and one play car/truck/tractor.
You can let your child make the road if he's older and can handle this task. In our case, I did the road but Caleb tried helping me in running the playdough so thin and long!
Caleb made most of the hearts using our playdough heart shaped mold. Hurrayyyy!π
Here's a chance for fine motor skill development, problem solving, logical thinking, hand eye coordination, but imagination and creativity too.

All right, so after that I let him do his thing, while I did my own. Win Win situation.
This is the moment you let your child use their imagination and creativity, you're there just to observe and intervene only if they ask you to, if they need your help. You can make good observations from their playing if you look closely.

All of these were his ideas. The rainbow, the numbers, the counting.
He wasnt quite interested at the moment but I used them other times.
See how many things can we make from some playdough?
This is a specific play and learn activity for us.
Cognitive skills, fine motor skills (by strengthening the small muscles in their fingers), imagtination and creativity, sensory play, ALL IN ONE!
Besides, playdough comes with some calming effects and it is a wonderful sensory and learning experience.
You dont need set up time with playdough. Just put it on the table and let the fun begin!
Thanks guys for reading!
What do you do with playdough? How you use it? What's the most interesting thing you used it for?
